Sightseeing tour of Kaliningrad, visiting the main attractions of the city. Kaliningrad is the center of the most western region of Russia. Until 1946 Kaliningrad was called Königsberg and belonged to Germany. The city was founded in 1255 by the Crusaders of the Teutonic Order. The tour introduces the main attractions: Victory Square, Christ the Savior Cathedral, the Fighting Bison sculpture in front of the former Konigsberg Land Court, Queen Louise Church – now the puppet theater, the area of ​​old German villas Amalienau. The Cathedral is a monument of architecture of XIV century. Grave of the great German philosopher – Immanuel Kant is located near the walls of the cathedral. Further, a walk through the Fishing Village – the ethnographic, trade and craft center, stylized as the architecture of the pre-war Koenigsberg. The next stop is the Amber Museum.

After lunch, drive to Svetlogorsk.

Svetlogorsk is a modern and popular tourist destination. The sandy beach, the promenade, the beautiful resort park and the delightful wooden villas (built in the 1900s) define the character of this place. It will be nice to walk along the ancient streets, with built-up villas of the 19th – early 20th centuries with towers and domes, weather vanes and red-tiled roofs. During the tour, the guests will get acquainted with the history of the city, see the symbol of the city – the water tower with a sundial, the park, the organ hall, the modern building of the Amber Hall pop-theater and make an unforgettable walk along the new promenade.

After Svetlogorsk, drive to Yantarny.In the village of Yantarny there is the only enterprise in the world where amber is mined. To find out how this happens, guests are offered a tour to the Amber Factory. From an observation platform of the Primorsky amber deposit one can see a 50-meter deep open cast mine, being the first thing that impresses the visitors. Another attraction is an “amber pyramid” 3,3 meters high put up in 2012. Over 700 kg of amber were needed to manufacture it. And then the visitors will see rare pieces of raw amber, works of art and jewellery made by artists of the factory. The guests will also learn about industrial production and history of amber from ancient times to the present day.

Kaliningrad - Zelenogradsk

The history of Zelenogradsk begins in the XIII century. This region is known as Sambia or Zemland in historical chronicles. Now Zelenogradsk is famous for its clean sandy beaches, healing sea air and wonderful monuments. A city tour takes place in the historic and renovated center of Zelenogradsk.

Departure to the Curonian Spit National Park. Curonian Spit - a popular resort and natural reserve. In 2000, the park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A special feature of the spit is that there are several natural worlds in this area, therefore this place is called “the museum of climatic zones”.

Guests can take a walk through the Dancing Forest, visit the bird station. The official opening of the station took place on January 1, 1901. It opened under the direction of German theology professor Johannes Tinemann. Guests can also climb to the highest dune of the spit - the “Efa” dune (where a wonderful view of the Curonian Lagoon, the sea and the dunes opens up). The fresh air of the Baltic Sea, natural splendor, great sunsets – all this will leave only pleasant impressions!
